What does the Morgan table weight rating mean?
Morgan MEDesign medical procedure tables are built to the standards set by Canadian Standards Association (CSA), one of the most rigorous rating/testing services in the world. In order for Morgan MEDesign to rate its tables at 400 lbs distributed weight the table must support two and one-half times its rated weight (in this case 1,000 lbs) in all articulations.
With a built in six hundred pound safety factor Morgan tables can support a 500+ lbs patient when the patient is properly distributed on the table. When comparing the weight capacity of Morgan tables to our competitors, note the rating/testing services being utilized and definition being used for weight rating. You’ll see that Morgan tables will equal or exceed our competitor’s weight claims using the definitions that our competitors utilize.
